It's been a while since I've posted to this blog. We've just been so incredibly busy with new projects here, especially with the holiday season fast approaching. Some pretty cool stuff has happened...

First, check out this Press Release On David's Cookies. We're the exclusive sponsor of the cookie tips category of LifeTips.com. Building our online brand is going to be huge for the success of our program, and LifeTips is a great place to start 8)

On another note, our "flavor pages" are now live and customers can check out each individual flavor of cookie, rather than just selecting from a list. For example, here's a great shot of our Orange Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies. Of course there's much work to be done - some of our images need to be updated as time permits, such as our Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.

It was a while in the making, but I think we've got a design I'm happy with for our corporate gifts page. I wanted it to be less wordy than our original page, which was informative but slightly confusing. This one cuts down on the copy and gets to the essence of corporate gifting - a simple process of submitting a spreadsheet of clients and payment information. Basically we took paragraphs and paragraphs of text and instructions and condensed them to a graphical representation and clickable FAQ.

Old business gifts page design - two pages:

[/img]http://www.doughtracking.com/images/old-corporate-2.jpg[/img]

New design:

I checked out a lot of designs during this process including my favorite, here:

Granted, it is my hope that people will choose our cookies first![/img]

At about 12:26pm I got a phonecall from my friend, Ruth at Lighting by Gregory and she's like, "Dennis, you're featured in The Link! After a few minutes of bantor and disbelief, I opened my email per her request and sure enough, there was the back of my head surrounded by three lovely ladies I met at the Linkshare Symposium! Naturally I had to pass it around to a few people here at David's Cookies and gloat a bit. It's not often one gets inducted into the affiliate hall of fame. More pictures can be found here.

I recently got back from Affiliate Summit in Miami and the show was a complete success. The summer's a bit slow, but there are deals on the table from this show, as well as Linkshare Symposiumthat are about to close and I'm very excited.

Was it worth going? Answer: a definite yes. I met tons of new contacts down there, many of whom haven't even heard of our product. Wait until they try it - I expect we'll be up on many more websites soon, as well as plugged into some offline marketing endeavors sure to grow the David's brand.
